FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
INDIE FILMMAKERS RELEASE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED FILM ABOUT THE FLIP SIDE OF URBAN COMEDY
Insiders herald “Tears Of A Clown” as the truest depiction of the life of Black Stand-ups
(Woodland Hills, CA) Where do comedian/movie stars like: Martin Lawrence, Monique, Jamie Foxx and touring sensation Katt Williams come from? Real stars aren’t made overnight. Sure, every genre has its one-hit wonders. The “flavor of the month changes every… month. But for those talented few who rise above the pack and earn their own moment to shine, that moment is the culmination commitment to craft and years on the grind. It’s the result of showing up everyday-even amid a seemingly endless series of “disses” and disappointments. By the time we see the performer do his or her “thing,” the apparent neophyte or ingénue is in fact already a seasoned veteran.
TEARS OF A CLOWN depicts the rise, fall and redemption of Oakland comedian Cole Black. It’s an uncensored, behind-the-scenes expose into the sexy, unpredictable world of Black Comedy. “Tears Of A Clown” removes the rose-colored glasses and shares a never before seen glimpse into the lives of urban stand up comics on the road to stardom, disaster… or whatever fate awaits them.
